Course description
The aim of this course is to provide a basic overview of best practices within Avaloq IT Operations. Participants will be introduced to the most important components of the Avaloq Banking System. The focus is on the IT operational points of view as well as the presentation of the provided tools. After that, course participants will learn about typical cases of Avaloq IT operations and the best practices for trouble shooting.
 
The course establishes the foundation for further specialised operation courses. Use cases will be shown as well as the theoretical background. Additionally, participants will receive the opportunity to solve various exercises.
 
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course every participant will know:
  • The typical tasks within end of period (EOP) processing
  • How to schedule jobs with the Avaloq Banking System
  • Hot to monitor the elements of the Avaloq Banking System
  • How to analyse log entries
Target audience
Members of IT operations organisations, application managers and application operation managers with no or limited knowledge/experience of Avaloq Application Operations
Prerequisites
Before participating in this course, participants must have basic knowledge in the areas of Toad and SQL Developer as well as understanding of simple PL/SQL statements
