Course description
In this course you will get an insight into the needs and best practices about the message processing of the Avaloq Banking System (ABS).
After an introduction to the most important elements of the Avaloq Message Interface (AMI), we will focus on the workflows related to creation and processing of messages. The course shows the various possibilities and requirements to operate and use the built-in Avaloq Message Interface Module. Participants will develop the big picture of Avaloq message processing and acquire the necessary knowledge to manage different types of messages in daily business. Based on examples, possible solutions as well as the various customisation areas will be shown. The course is based on tools, functions and APIs which are included in the ABS.
In addition to the theoretical background, we will walk through some use cases and do exercises. This course contains no customisation exercises. It is intended mainly for Application Operation Specialists who need a fundamental know-how of Avaloq message processing.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course every participant will know:
  • The concept of Avaloq message processing
  • How to manage the different message types
  • The elements and customisation areas of the Avaloq Message Interface (AMI) Framework and their purpose
  • How to debug and troubleshoot the processing of messages
Target audience
Members of IT Operations at customer or partner sites. Also application managers and application operation managers as well as customisation specialists.
Prerequisites
Before participating in this course, participants must have knowledge in the following areas:
  • Toad or SQL Developer
  • Understanding of simple PL/SQL statements
  • Attended to the course "Fundamentals of Avaloq Application Operations" (OAO)
