Course description
Report Writer is an important technology for data extraction, presentation and manipulation of the Avaloq Core Platform. It is used in almost any customisation area and has a big impact on user experience.

With the knowledge of the initial training (“Fundamentals of Avaloq Customisation”), customisation specialists are able to develop basic reports. However, advanced topics and the latest developments in this area are an important puzzle piece for customisation specialists to deliver good results.

In the real world, one of the main reasons for end-of-day processing not finishing on time are poorly performing reports. This is often due to expensively built workarounds, a lack of knowledge regarding Report Writer features and a disregard for usability criteria that leads to low user satisfaction. These are only some examples that show how important it is for the customisation specialist to master the Report Writer technology and to be conscious of performance and usability topics.

At the end of the course, the customisation specialists will have a better understanding of the Report Writer Engine, its possibilities, shortcomings and strengths in order to produce more robust, flexible and high-performance customisation of the Avaloq Core Platform.
