Course description
Avaloq Script is the programming language within the Avaloq Core. This language is syntactically very close to PL/SQL. The main difference is in the way access to data is handled. Instead of a direct access via SQL as this in the case in PL/SQL, access is granted through so called data dictionaries (DDIC). These DDIC have the advantage to abstract from the physical data structure and to encapsulate access to the kernel data and procedures effectively offering a stable interface to the outside world. There are many areas of Avaloq Script within the Avaloq Core, ranging from Report Writer to Order Validation to Conditions in Rule Systems.
It is essential that customization professionals know how to write efficient and maintainable code.
This course builds upon the introduction given in the certification course “Fundamentals of Avaloq Customisation – (ACP)”.
This course focuses on coding guidelines. Many project-proof examples show how to write ‘good’ code with respect to maintainability and performance.
